Our Arborist services include single tree assessments for private residences, assistance with council approved tree removal or larger impact assessments and arboricultural audits for large scale developments and government projects.

ArborEcological offers licensed and qualified AQF level 5 Arborist services that can accommodate any client.

Arborist reports and tree assessment services include, but are not limited to, the following:

Arboricultural Impact Assessments for Development Applications (DA)

An Arboricultural Impact Assessment evaluates how construction could affect trees, offering advice on removal, retention, and protection. We can help during project design or later with survey plans showing tree locations. Many local councils require this assessment for development projects. It's a standard arborist report detailing tree protection zones and guidelines for construction sites.

Tree Health and Condition Assessment

A tree health assessment checks for issues like disease, pests, structural problems, and overall vigor to determine a tree's condition and inform management decisions. This assessment is valuable for projects of any size, from large developments to individual homes. Often, a visual inspection is the initial and most effective step.

We can offer this advice verbally on-site or include it in a comprehensive report, depending on your project requirements.

Pest and Disease Diagnosis and Treatment

For safe and healthy trees, accurate pest and disease diagnosis and management are essential. Our AQF level 5 arborists conduct thorough investigations to identify symptoms. Following this, we assess the damage and overall tree health. Through ongoing monitoring and effective management plans, we empower tree owners with confidence in their trees' well-being and structural stability.

Post-Storm Tree Inspection and Risk Assessments

Severe weather can make us anxious about the trees around our properties. Storms can leave trees vulnerable to damage, posing a potential risk to your property and safety. Whether it's after a heavy storm, strong winds, or flooding, it's essential to assess the condition of trees to identify any potential hazards.

We offer comprehensive post-storm tree inspections and risk assessments to provide peace of mind. Our AQF Level 5 Arborists will assess any damage caused by the storm, looking for structural weaknesses, broken branches, or uprooted trees that could pose a threat. If needed, we’ll recommend necessary tree management actions and provide guidance for any correspondence with local councils, such as pruning, or removal to mitigate any risks.

With a professional risk assessment, you can make informed decisions about your trees’ safety, ensuring that they remain stable and healthy in the long term. Whether for residential properties or larger estates, we provide clear, actionable advice to help you manage your trees and reduce future risks.

Our post-storm inspections include:

  • Visual Tree Inspections: Assessing tree stability, crown integrity, and root systems.

  • Structural Risk Assessment: Identifying weaknesses that could lead to tree failure.

  • Hazard Identification: Recognizing dangerous tree conditions that pose a risk to people, property, or infrastructure.

  • Post-Storm Tree Reports: Detailed reports outlining our findings and recommendations for any necessary works or maintenance.

Standard Risk Assessments

A systematic evaluation conducted to identify and analyse potential hazards associated with trees. Arborist reports and risk assessments are important for tree care. Only arborists with a minimum AQF level 5 should conduct risk assessment tree reports or hazard assessments.

To determine a tree's level of risk it is assessed for structural weaknesses, disease, or proximity to structures and people. These factors inform our recommendations for appropriate management measures to mitigate those risks. We use the Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA) methodology and have two registered QTRA assessors as part of our team. Experience and knowledge of how to perform risk assessments is important when choosing a qualified consulting arborist.

Tree Surveys & Audits

An arboricultural audit is a comprehensive tree management plan tailored for specific areas such as parks, residential communities, or campuses. This process involves documenting tree species, size, health, and maintenance history, alongside evaluating current management practices, risks, and compliance.

The audit provides valuable insights into the existing tree population, identifies potential problems or areas for enhancement, and develops effective strategies for tree management and preservation
